Hi, we are the lucky couple that got to bring Woody home with us, she won our hearts right from the moment we met her. She loves to go on walks and is a big hit in our neighborhood. On her first day was gracious and let some of the neighborhood kids talk to her and she even licked one of the boys!
Woody got to meet our daughters and granddaughters via webcam, she loved it when our granddaughter would call her name, Woody's ears would perk up and she would get right up to the screen, it was so fun to watch. They all agreed that Woody was a beautiful girl.

She loves her stuffed toys and she even takes one to sleep with, but her favorite time is when we all sit on the porch, she will lay down between us and we all just relax. Woody is a lovely lady, we are grateful that she has become a part of our family.
Thank you
Julie and Paul

Sunday, our last day of vacation!

Woody slept until 9 am on Sunday morning!!! She still has not had any accidents, and calmly lets you know "its potty time!"...
She eats slowly, and is not a food-motivated greyhound.
I am very sad because shortly we will head back to Acworth with the weekend coming to an end and she will have to go back to her home, the kennel.
She is the BEST and easiest foster I have ever had.
IF anyone has never fostered before....HERE IS YOUR FIRST FOSTER!!!
IF you are considering adopting a greyhound, and can't make up your mind? IF you do not have small pets, WOODY IS YOUR FIRST GREYHOUND....she comes with my highest recommendations!
She WILL become some one's next best friend and companion.
She will make someone a GREYT pet and be forever appreciative.
She makes my heart melt, and I have quickly fallen in love with Hardwood, my gentle Woody!

Woody, Day 2...she is AMAZING!

Woody slept completely through the night on her first night with us. She never had ANY accidents, she gets up and lets you know when she needs to go outside for a potty. And, she is VERY quick to do her business!
We went for a short walk in the morning, and she enjoyed all the sights and sounds of the neighborhood, greeted all the neighbors, and acted like the lady she is! She LOVES to see herself in a full-length mirror. Whether admiring her own beauty or thinking her reflection is a playmate, she will tickle you with her sense of humor!
She eats on schedule, but does not ever beg for food. She has learned quickly what she is (and isn't) to do and responds well to correction quickly. She loves to be around people, but isn't needy; just proximity is enough! We had a wonderful day together. We all went and ran errand together and she is so well behaved and just the most calm and genteel dog.
We had company over for dinner on Sat night, and he was amazed at what a wonderful dog...in disbelief that she had only been off the track a few months, and in a house for only a day! She acts like the dog you've had your whole life!

Hardwood, not a gentle enough name for this sweet Woody girl!

She'll capture your heart so be prepared!
I got Hardwood, aka Woody, out of the kennel on Friday May 9 to take her on "Vacation" for the weekend!
We had a 2 hr drive which she handled incredibly. She was an instant pro at riding. We arrived at my mom's school, and had a spontaneous Meet and Greet, with lots of people interested in meeting a greyhound! She was friendly and courteous to eveyone. She was on her best behavior and had wonderful manners, giving a lick and allowing a pet from everyone!
Then, we took her to my mom's home to get acclimated. She did beautifully. A little exploration and then was ready to settle in!
We started to leave her home to go get a bite to eat, but we saw she wouldn't do well at home alone, and I had not brought a crate. But, no worries, she does so well riding...we brought her along to go and get the take-out!

Hardwood does not befit this gentle greyhound as a name..."Woody" walked tenderly all around the house and obeyed whenever we said no, stop, or "go lie down". She loved and responded to petting and loves you right back with her large oval-almond eyes. Everyone raved about her beauty and no one could believe it was her first time out of the kennel and in a home.

Hardwood, what a softie!

Hardwood has lots of energy...she really loves to run and play, and LOVES to chase a ball!!!
what an awesome girl! She REALLY loves to be loved. She is going to make someone the perfect pet. She is just waiting for her "one" and she is totally ready to be the love of some lucky person's life! Think about her....she is just waiting for YOU! She is home-ready!

Hard Wood is not a fitting name for this sweetheart! Monday evening she was so happy to be out in such nice weather and enjoyed every minute of it. She loves the tennis ball but loves play and petting just as much. She looks marvelous andwill make some family a great addition!
